St. Rita’s Medical Center
St. Rita’s Medical Center OH is one of the region’s leader in medical care, they provide comprehensive healthcare services for residents in West Central Ohio.
In 2007 St. Ritas partnered with Torrence on a much needed expansion project “The Medical Center of the Future” would provide a greater focus on patients and families, easier access and additional parking but also feature a full compliment of technology based solutions provided by Torrence. Encompassed in this project is a nine-story patient tower situated on the corner of High and Collett Streets. The first three patient floors of the tower opened in 2007 with 84 new patient rooms with nurse patient communications. To better meet the needs of our patients and families, the rooms are nearly twice the size of our current inpatient rooms they include a 42 inch LCD television and integrated entertainment system with DVD radio and motorized window shades controlled from the bedside designed and installed by Torrence. Also as part of the technology renovation St. Rita’s launched a campus wide upgrade of their nurse patient communications provided by Torrence utilizing Responder IV by Rauland-Borg of Chicago connected to Cisco wireless VoIP phones. This system allows staff to have instant communications with their patients no matter where they are in the hospital as well as delivering information through text messaging and location information.
The new floors are dedicated to specialized centers for heart and cancer, among others. In addition there are convenient outpatient services off the main lobby, a two story meditation area, new main entrance and lobby, Health Resource Center for the public, expanded gift shop and coffee shop, and a new large modern cafeteria.
St. Rita’s Medical Center continues its dedication in providing our community the finest in health care. This could not be accomplished without the efforts of many individuals, businesses and organizations.
