Ascom IP6010 VoIP Gateway

The Ascom IP6010 VoIP Gateway, as part of a total Ascom communication solution, provides cost-effective, seamless integration with existing communication networks.

The Ascom IP6010 VoIP Gateway is an optional component of Ascom’s VoWiFi and IP-DECT communication systems that enables seamless integration with a circuitswitched PBX or PSTN to provide superior quality voice communication between Ascom wireless handsets and any other telephone. The VoIP Gateway features two T1/E1 interfaces toward the PBX and two additional T1/E1 interfaces that allow interconnection to an alternate IP6010 VoIP Gateway for redundancy planning.

To ensure maximum compatibility, the IP6010 VoIP Gateway supports a variety of ISDN and CAS protocols that enable digital telephony services for 3,200 Ascom portable handsets. VoIP Gateways may also be stacked, optimizing the grade of service and extending the system to 20,000 users managed by a web browser. Highly reliable, with no moving components such as spinning disks or fans, the IP6010 VoIP Gateway features an integrated Gatekeeper that manages portable handset registration and call routing, optimizing the channels allocated to the PBX.
