Torrence Sounds: Elevating Education with State-of-the-Art AV Solutions
As detailed in Seattle Public Schools’ announcement ‘Classroom AV Equipment Refresh Project,‘ we are proud to collaborate on a comprehensive technology initiative aimed at updating audiovisual (A/V) equipment across school facilities.
The project focuses on revitalizing classroom electronic tools vital for student learning, including microphones, projectors, and speakers. To ensure the efficacy of the upgrades, the district prioritizes end-user feedback, gathering insights from students, educators, and volunteers through needs assessments and user experience engagements conducted during winter and spring.
Funded by the Buildings, Technology, and Academics/Athletics Capital Levy V (BTA V), the initiative underscores the community’s commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure, with nearly 80% of voters endorsing the levy in 2022.
Responsibilities within the project encompass identifying A/V requirements for optimal teaching and learning experiences, promoting inclusion and diversity in decision-making processes, and assessing technology solutions to procure cost-effective solutions meeting the district’s present and future needs.
Seattle Public Schools emphasizes equitable access to technology, striving to prepare graduates for success in college, career, and community. The district’s commitment to equity extends to resource allocation, ensuring all students, regardless of background, receive the support necessary to excel academically.
Through collaboration, Seattle Public Schools aims to foster dynamic learning environments equipped with cutting-edge A/V technology, empowering educators and students alike.
