Elevate Your Digital Learning Experience with New AV Equipment
As reported by UT Health San Antonio News in their article, “New AV Equipment Enhances Digital Experience,” the university has recently completed a comprehensive upgrade of audiovisual (AV) equipment across 42 locations on campus as part of a broader initiative to improve the digital experience for students and employees. This effort has brought significant enhancements to classrooms, lecture halls, and conference rooms, ensuring that the latest in digital content and presentations can be delivered with greater clarity and reach.
The modernization included replacing outdated projectors, screens, cameras, and audio systems with cutting-edge AV technology. These upgrades not only provide a more immersive AV experience but also enable seamless integration with popular webinar and presentation tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom. As a result, both students and faculty can now engage with digital content more effectively, whether in-person or remotely, enhancing the overall learning and communication environment on campus.
Beyond the AV improvements, UT Health San Antonio is also focused on strengthening its wireless connectivity. The university has upgraded its Wi-Fi network infrastructure, expanded the cellular network to 5G, and installed over 300 new Wi-Fi access points throughout the campus. These steps are aimed at ensuring that students and staff can access reliable, high-speed internet across all areas of the university.
To support these efforts, students are encouraged to provide real-time feedback on connectivity issues through a brief survey accessible via QR codes posted around campus. This feedback has already proven valuable, with over 400 responses submitted between January 12 and February 2, helping the university to continually refine and enhance its digital infrastructure.
Through these strategic upgrades in AV equipment and wireless connectivity, UT Health San Antonio is setting a new standard for digital learning environments, ensuring that students and faculty alike have access to the best tools and resources available.
